How can I renew online?
  1. Log In on our home page using your Academy ID and your email address
  2. Click on “View Profile” located in the Login Box. Make any changes to your contact information and your listed specialties by clicking on “Edit” at the bottom of the screen. This information appears on “Find An Audiologist” and the “Online Member Directory.”
  3. Click on the “Dues Renewal” link. Once you’ve paid, a receipt will automatically be sent to the e-mail address in your profile.
When are renewals due?
Renewals should be paid by Dec. 31st every year.

How much are dues for 2009?
If you are a Fellow or Affiliate, your dues are $250.
If you are a Student, International Student, or Fellow (Doctoral Candidate), your dues are $55 (International Students must also pay the mailing fee)
If you are an International Fellow, Member, or Affiliate your dues are $165 (plus mailing fee)
If you are in International Associate, your dues are $85.

If I renew by mail, how long does it take to process?
Renewals are processed within eight to ten business days of receipt.

Can I renew over the phone?
Yes, but only by using a credit card. Checks must be mailed in with an accompanying renewal form. Call 800-222-2336 and ask for the membership department to renew by phone.

I can’t afford to pay full dues right now, what can I do?
The Academy wants to help you renew and maintain your membership. Please contact Erin Quinn at 800-222-2336 ext. 1051 to talk about the particulars of your situation.

Do I get a discount for being enrolled in a doctoral program?
If you are enrolled in a distance learning AuD program, you are eligible to receive a $50 discount on dues for up to 3 years. You must submit proof of your enrollment. Proof may consist of a report card or class schedule from your most recent semester.If you are enrolled in a full-time residential doctoral program, you are eligible to receive student pricing. To change your membership from Fellow to Fellow (Doctoral Candidate) and receive student prices, please contact Erin Quinn.

Can I add my yearly PAC contribution and AAA Foundation Annual Fund gift to my Membership renewal?
Yes, you will be given the option to add your contributions to your renewal invoice. NOTE: Corporate credit cards may not be used if making a contribution to the PAC.

When can I expect a new membership card?
The Academy does not send out an annual card. The card you received in the past is considered your permanent membership card.

How can I be sure my online renewal went through?
When you renew online, a receipt will automatically be sent to you.

How do I qualify for Life Membership?
To be a Life Member you must be 65 year old or older, and have been a member of the Academy for at least ten years. Life Members receive a 40% discount for life ($150 for 2009). Life Member requests are approved by the Board of Directors. If you believe you are eligible and would like to submit your name, please contact Erin Quinn.

How do I qualify for Family Leave membership?
To be a Family Leave member, you must be taking a complete leave of absence from work to care for a family member. The dues are 50% of Fellow dues ($125 for 2009) and only one publication subscription is included. To request Family Leave membership please e-mail Erin Quinn.

How do I qualify for Retired Membership?
To be a Retired Member you must by FULLY retired from the field of audiology and be at least 55 years old. Dues are discounted 25% from Fellow dues ($188 for 2009) and all benefits remain the same. If you would like to request Retired Membership, or ask about our Retired Plus membership please e-mail Erin Quinn.

How do I qualify for Disabled Membership?
To qualify for Disabled membership you must submit documentation stating your that your disability prevents you from working. Dues are calculated based on the percentage of hours you are able to work. For more information, contact Erin Quinn.
